GreenSquare has made the first stage of its SYD1 data centre campus online in Norwest Business Park, Western Sydney.

In doing so, the Australian developer has turned a facility that first opened more than 30 years ago into a site built for high-density AI compute.

The transformation took eight months. Main construction works began in February 2026, with around 400 people on site at peak and teams operating around the clock during critical stages.

The first customer through the door is Sharon AI, a NASDAQ-listed NVIDIA Cloud Partner, which will deploy approximately 8,200 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs at the facility.

It makes for a significant rollout of NVIDIA HGX B300 infrastructure in Australia.
